MY STORY

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a private practice in New York City. I specialize in working with emerging & young adults, young professionals, adoptees of all ages & their families, and those seeking culturally responsive services.

As a transracial international adoptee, I have a unique life experience that has created opportunities to examine firsthand the intersections and relationships of social & political identities, family roles, attachment history, trauma, somatic and stress responses, intimate relationships, and more.

Prior to becoming a therapist I was an artist (mixed media) and received my bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota. I obtained my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. My experience includes working in agency and private practice settings in both Minneapolis and New York City. I enjoy facilitating groups for youth and have done this within schools providing leadership programs and in other formats for Adoptee youth utilizing grants and connecting with community organizations.
